Njavarakizhi

It is a stounting process in which the whole body or any specific part thereof is made to perspire by the application of certain medicinal puddings externally in the form of kizhi tied up in muslin bag. This is applied by two to four masseurs for about 60 to 90 minutes per day. This treatment is for all types of rheumatism, pain in the joints, emaciation of limbs, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and certain kinds of skin diseases.Njavarakizhi is a unique Ayurvedic sweat-inducing treatment where the body is massaged with small warm pouches (kizhi) filled with special medicinal rice called Njavara cooked in milk and herbal decoction.

Here are some common Abhyangam treatment methods you can use on your website:

1. Full Body Njavarakizhi

This therapy involves gently massaging the entire body with warm boluses made from Navara rice cooked in medicated milk and herbal decoctions. It nourishes the muscles and tissues, improves strength, enhances flexibility, and promotes overall rejuvenation. It is especially beneficial for muscle weakness, arthritis, and chronic fatigue.

2. Localized Njavarakizhi

In this method, the Navara rice boluses are applied only to specific areas such as the knees, back, shoulders, or joints. The treatment helps relieve localized pain, reduce stiffness, improve joint mobility, and support faster recovery from injuries and musculoskeletal disorders.

3.Neuromuscular Njavarakizhi

This specialized therapy is designed for individuals with neurological and muscular conditions. Warm Navara rice boluses are used to stimulate nerves and strengthen weakened muscles, improving circulation, coordination, and mobility. It is commonly recommended for paralysis, post-stroke rehabilitation, muscular dystrophy, and nerve-related disorders.
