Vamanam

Vamanam is one of the five primary Panchakarma therapies in Ayurveda. It is a therapeutic emesis (controlled vomiting) procedure performed under the supervision of qualified Ayurvedic practitioners to eliminate excess Kapha dosha and toxins from the body. Vamanam helps improve respiratory health, digestion, skin health, and overall well-being by cleansing the upper digestive and respiratory systems.

Here are some common Abhyangam treatment methods you can use on your website:

1. Preparatory Therapy (Purva Karma)

Before Vamanam, the body is prepared through internal oleation (Snehana) and therapeutic sweating (Swedana). This helps loosen accumulated toxins and bring them into the digestive tract for effective elimination.

2. Therapeutic Vamanam (Main Procedure)

The patient is given specially prepared herbal medicines to induce controlled therapeutic vomiting. This process helps remove excess Kapha and accumulated toxins from the stomach and upper respiratory tract, providing relief from allergies, asthma, chronic cough, and certain skin disorders.

3. Post-Therapy Care (Paschat Karma)

After the cleansing procedure, a carefully planned diet and lifestyle regimen is followed to restore digestive strength and support recovery. This phase helps the body regain balance, improves metabolism, and enhances the long-term benefits of the therapy.
